End of 11
It started off sloppy, it really was. I was late by 5 minutes and I lost my wallet and I need my ID to get the visitor pass before they give me the official trainee tag. Only after convincing the security guards just how forgetful I was, they finally let me in (it'd be complicated if I told them I actually lost it). Sucha tight security. Almost got myself into a drama this morning. Phewww. (^^,")

Well, the nerve-wreck did not just end there. I got carried away. Come to the moment when I went in. I saw all sort of people and there were few Japanese talking in front of me. I'm pretty sure they were not tourists, they seem to work here (big briefcase, big hint!). So I tried to crawl back in time when I could understand those 'aisatsu' (greetings) and I think I still remembered some. Well, it would be nice if I could greet them in their mother tongue, really. And just before I entered the office, they stopped and looked back. I was stunned of course. They must have thought that I've been listening to what they said! (as if I could translate that fast? Haha!). Then, suddenly, one of them held the door and said 'Ladies first'. Ahhh, yes, what was I thinking? I was too busy panicking that all I did to him was smiling. Not even a sound came out. No japanese words whatsoever. Not even a thank you. No, nothing. God, I was hopeless.

During the short briefing in a meeting room with the HR people; and it happened to be that I was the only intern in my department, I certainly felt those butterflies were eating up my stomach. Thank goodness, they were all friendly and I slowly sensed the warm welcome they gave me. Later, they showed me around the place, the other staffs and the superiors. One of them looked familiar. Oh, no, not him. Then I was told. My O' my, he's my MD. He smiled. I smiled back, but deeeeeep inside, I just kept saying; God, save my soul for this one, save me. Tskkk.

Well, everyday luncheon would be from 12 noon to 1PM. It was a little bit sad that I had my first lunch on my own, not to mention I had it at Old Town (not my favourite, but I got no choice). Before that, I got offered by one of the officemates; she was willing to drive me to take away lunch. But I had to refuse since she actually brought her lunch from home already. Thus, I didn't feel right wasting her lunch hour just for that. So that was all about lunch; and OT is still not my favourite eatery. Sorry.

After lunch, I still got 5 hours and 30 minutes to go. Luckily, my colleague borrowed me her book so that I could start learning about some programming stuff. Truthfully, I never been so happier to read a book that I was very sure the only thing that I could easily process was the preface. Haha. But I tried. The book had me for the first one hour and after that, puffff. I kept nodding for every five seconds until my neck got hurt. So I walked myself around the office. If I were not at my desk, I'd be at the pantry, stuffing those crackers. Ka-ching~* ;OB
Well, for the rest hours, I'm just gonna spare them. But while waiting for my dad to pick me up, I wrote all these. Which was why they came in more than one paragraph, LOL. So, all right, I think I better look up for the wallet ASAP. I think it must have been somewhere in the house!
Hmmm, despite the early mess I had at the beginning, I still think it's a good day after all. Well, who knows about the unplanned events anyway? I don't, but I'm glad for they were the unplanned ones. ;O)
psst: I am so thankful for the unexpected calls from my friends today;
that was very thoughtful, so thank you very much.
You guys really filled me in.
;O))
psst, psst: to all interns, HAPPY INTERNSHIP!
love, love
